My name is Leen Van Hulst and I’m a printmaker, drawer and painter. My etchings are very painterly. I combine line etching, vernis mou, aquatint and drypoint in my work. The topics come from my everyday life. I likes to express the atmospheres I experience in lanscapes, places, portraits, humans, etc.
I also regulary attend model drawing sessions, cause I really enjoy life drawing which gives me the opportunity to examine the antanomy of the human body.

After graduating in 2006, I combined my own artistic personal projects with doing illustration jobs for editorial and publishers. I worked for several lifestyle magazines in Belgium and abroad.

In 2009 I became a member of the artist group Poste Aérienne. We are mainly German and Belgian graphic artists. We publish our own small press and artist books which you can buy at selected small press fairs every year.

Since the end of 2018, I work as a fine art printer at the Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels where I make prints of historical, modern and contemporary copper plates and woodcuts conserved by the library.

Follow me on my social media to see what I’m up to right now or visit my shop if you like to buy my zines and prints.
I’m also open for illustration jobs or collaborations.
